JOB OVERVIEW:
The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of email and SMS marketing programs across multiple e-commerce accounts. As the E-mail Marketing Specialist, you will own the channel that you handle.
That means:
Building revenue-driving campaign calendars
Architecting and optimizing flows
Managing segmentation and testing
Monitoring performance and making strategic recommendations
You will collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, and account leads to execute high-performing campaigns.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Channel Strategy
Develop monthly campaign calendars aligned with brand goals
Plan lifecycle marketing flows (Welcome, Abandonment, Post-Purchase, etc.)
Create SMS strategy alongside email (campaigns + automation)
Identify revenue growth opportunities within the retention channel
Recommend A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, offers, segmentation, timing)
2. Execution & Build
Build and manage email + SMS campaigns in Klaviyo (or similar ESP)
Set up and optimize flows, triggers, and conditional logic
Create advanced segmentation strategies
Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and UTM structure
QA all campaigns before launch
3. Performance Optimization
Monitor campaign and flow performance daily/weekly
Analyze KPIs (Revenue per Recipient, CVR, CTR, Deliverability, List Growth)
Identify drop-offs in funnel performance
Proactively implement improvements
4. Reporting & Insights
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
Translate data into clear strategic insights
Present findings and recommendations internally (and on client calls when needed)
Track retention contribution to total revenue
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing for ecommerce brands
Strong experience with Klaviyo (or similar ESP)
Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing
Strong segmentation and testing experience
Comfort analyzing data and making performance decisions
Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
High attention to detail (QA discipline is critical)

Basic understanding of paid media and CRO
